Kufri Life Fabrics | Dallas

Kufri was born from the need to preserve and honour the stories woven into handloom textiles—presenting them in a way that feels both rooted and contemporary. The textiles embrace imperfection, carrying the rawness of the landscapes and the hands that create them, while holding a quiet, modern refinement.

At its core, Kufri is about sustaining handloom traditions, creating dignified livelihoods for women and ageing weavers, and encouraging a more conscious, beautiful relationship with the spaces we inhabit.

For this project, I travelled across multiple regions in India where Kufri fabrics are produced, documenting the people, processes, and environments that shape each textile. The resulting film and photographic work traces the journey of making—revealing the care, labour, and lived context behind every finished piece.
